ClearSonic Panels (CSP)

ClearSonic Panels help control sound in studios and on stage by creating barriers between instruments. This reduces the amount of drum noise picked up by microphones for vocals and other instruments, and lowers the overall volume on stage allowing musicians to hear each other better.

Made of durable, clear acrylic, ClearSonic Panels come in a variety of sizes and configurations to fit your needs. Standard heights are available from 2 to 5.5 feet, with optional extenders if you need more height. The panels come pre-assembled with hinges for easy folding and portability, and you can choose between configurations with 2 to 7 panels.

For even better sound control, ClearSonic Panels can be used with SORBER baffles, which absorb sound reflections. The part numbers for ClearSonic Panels are easy to understand: the “A” stands for acrylic, the first number represents the height, and the number after the dash indicates how many panels are in the system. For instance, an A5-6 panel is 5.5 feet tall and has 6 sections.

A2 ClearSonic Panels Perfect for Guitar Amps:

Perfect for Guitar Amps: The A2 panels are individual units measuring 1 foot wide by 2 feet high. The most popular configuration is the A2-4, which combines four A2 panels. This setup is designed specifically for guitar speaker cabinets. It lets guitarists crank their amps to achieve the desired overdrive sound without blasting the entire stage with excessive volume. By containing the sound, the A2-4 helps to reduce overall stage volume and create a cleaner sonic environment, all while preserving your preferred guitar tone. You can further enhance this effect by pairing the A2-4 with an S4-2 system (mentioned separately).

A18 ClearSonic Panels

Wider Sound Isolation: A18 panels provide more coverage compared to A2 panels. They measure 18 inches wide by 2 feet high, giving you extra width to isolate wider sound sources. Similar to A2 panels, they come in various configurations. The pictured A18-4 consists of four A18 panels, which is ideal for containing the sound of guitar speaker cabinets. Need a different size? No problem! You can choose configurations with as few as 3 panels (A18-3) or connect up to seven sections together for a larger barrier.

The ClearSonic Lite LITE2466-5 is a budget-friendly alternative to our standard ClearSonic drum shields. It’s a pre-assembled, 5-panel drum shield made from 3/16″ thick acrylic. While the panels have a more basic, unfinished appearance compared to our standard A series panels, they still provide effective sound isolation.

Need More Height for Your ClearSonic Panels?

ClearSonic AX Height Extenders are a great way to add an additional 12 or 18 inches of height to your existing ClearSonic acrylic drum shield. This is useful if you find the standard panels don’t quite provide enough coverage for your needs.

Compatible with A4 and A5 Panels:

The AX Height Extenders are designed to work seamlessly with both A4 and A5 ClearSonic panel systems, offering you flexibility.

Easy Installation and Folding:

Each AX Height Extender comes with an “H” channel and hinge for simple attachment to the top of your existing ClearSonic panels. Even with the added height, the complete system will still fold up conveniently in the traditional “accordion style” for portability and storage.

AX2 Height Extender: A Specific Solution

The AX2 Height Extender is a unique 2-inch high by 2-foot wide acrylic piece designed for a specific use case with ClearSonic drum shield systems.

Compatibility:

It’s important to note that the AX2 extender is primarily intended for use with the A5 and S5-2 IsoPac combination.

Purpose:

If you plan to use a lid system on top of your A5 panels with an S5-2 IsoPac system, and want to avoid using the taller AX12 or AX18 height extenders, then the AX2 extender is the solution.

How it Works:

Standard A5 panels are 65.5 inches tall, while S5-2 IsoPacs are 67 inches tall. The AX2 extender adds exactly the 2 inches needed (65.5 inches + 2 inches = 67.5 inches) to the height of the A5 panels. This extra height ensures that the lid panels can sit on the A5 panels without making contact with the S5-2 baffles. This allows any of the S5-2 baffles to function as doors without obstruction from the lid system.
