Silent Source carries a full line of ClearSonic IsoPacs. These are Clearsonics most popular isolation packages, and can easily be modified to fit your specific needs.

Clearsonic IsoPacsMegaPac

The MegaPac is useful in applications where maximum isolation is needed. The MegaPac features 360° of ClearSonic Panels for maximum sound isolation. ClearSonic shields in the back means less opening for sound to escape. A full seven feet of interior headroom is achieved by using the AX18 Height Extenders. There is an A5-7 in front, and an A5-5 in the rear. The two panel systems do not actually connect to each other, so the end panel of the A5-5 can be moved and used as a door.

By adding the STC512 twelve inch wide SORBER Lid baffle to the standard 3-section lid, total lid coverage is 7’W x 5.5’D. The MegaPac includes two lid support bars for maximum stability. Nineteen S2 and twelve S1 SORBER baffles provide a whopping 112 square feet of interior sound absorption for maximum acoustic performance inside and out.

Clearsonic IsoPacsMiniMega

MiniMega isolation package is a slightly smaller version of the MegaPac. The MiniMega features 360° of ClearSonic Panels for maximum sound isolation. ClearSonic shields in the back means less opening for sound to escape. There is an A5-6 in front, and an A5-5 in the rear. The two panel systems do not actually connect to each other, so the end panel of the A5-5 can be moved and used as a door (see pic at right).

Clearsonic IsoPacsClearsonic IsoPacs A

Clearsonic IsoPacs A has seven ClearSonic panels and AX12 extenders in the front, and three S5-2 SORBER baffles in the rear. Seven S2 SORBER baffles are attached to the inside lower portion of the acrylic panels. The clear panels are a total of 6.5′ tall, and the S5-2 baffles are 5.5′ tall, so there is a foot of open space around the rear of the booth allowing for air exchange.The STC512 twelve inch wide SORBER Lid baffle is added to the standard 3-section lid to yeild 7’W x 5.5’D of lid coverage. IsoPac A includes two lid support bars for maximum stability.

If reflections off the front shields during recording are a problem, a few S2 SORBER baffles can be Velcroed to the offending shields. Attach them at the same height as the mic.

Clearsonic IsoPacsClearsonic IsoPacs B

Clearsonic IsoPacs B is similar to IsoPac A in sound reduction, but is slightly smaller, and allows for the bass drum to be seen in the front.

There are six ClearSonic panels with AX12 extenders in the front, and three S5-2 SORBER baffles in the rear. The acrylic panels are a total of 6.5′ tall, and the S5-2 baffles are 5.5′ tall, so there is a foot of open space around the rear of the booth allowing for air exchange.

Clearsonic IsoPacsClearsonic IsoPacs C

Clearsonic IsoPacs C features a 5-panel CSP in the front. Adhesive Velcro strips are used to attach the S2 SORBER baffles to the inside lower portion. Three S5-2 SORBER baffles complete the enclosure and soak up reflected sounds in the rear. Since the top is open, it is difficult to determine the exact amout of sound reduction. Reduction will depend on room construction and drum set-up. The IsoPac C will be more effective in a room with low ceilings and acoustic treatment, than it would be in a room that is large and has a lot of hard surfaces. In either case, the IsoPac C will greatly reduce stage volume, allowing everyone to play at a more reasonable volume.

Clearsonic IsoPacsClearsonic IsoPacs D

Clearsonic IsoPacs D features a 4′ tall, 5-panel ClearSonic Panel in the front. Advesive-backed Velcro strips are used to attach the five S2 SORBER baffles to the inside lower portion of the acrylic. Two S4-2 baffles complete the enclosure and soak up reflected sounds in the rear. IsoPac D works great if your drums or percussion are up on a 12″ or higher riser. The 4′ panels included in IsoPac D can be added to, but if you are thinking of upgrading to an IsoPac with a Lid in the future, you may want to consider the IsoPac C instead.
